Our very latest pair of Kilim upholstered Lansdown Chairs have great symmetry, fabulous colours, and the quirkiness that makes the combination of our traditional upholstery and the character of these Turkish rugs so compatible.

We personally visit our favoured rug dealers in Istanbul to select suitable Kilims. Size, pattern and condition (most of the rugs we buy are classified as semi-antique) are important in order that the rugs can be used successfully as upholstery fabric. And one of our best upholsterers has the 'eye' to match the patterns of the kilim to the shape of the target chair or sofa - a great art !
