Late Victorian Sprung Edge Chair

A late 19th Century Antique Chair that oozes comfort ! The title refers to the upholstery technique of having springs up to the front edge of the seat rather than a hard wooden 'rail', imitating the edge of a mattress !

We will be stripping the chair back to the frame for reupholstery, maintaining the sprung edge, but, more than likely, replacing the fabric with leather. Unless it's next owner has other ideas ?

Completed cost in leather £1895. To reupholster in fabric would be £1295 + 6 metres of fabric.
