Every now and then we get hold of antique chairs which are in need of some renovation. Once re-upholstered these pieces represent fantastic value for money and retain their antique charm.
These chairs are in their nature one-offs so are likely to sell fast, but this page will be updated every time an item is sold, or a new one included.
Please contact us about any of the items appearing so that we can confirm their availabilty and whereabouts.

Our antique renovations are proving to be increasingly popular and often these chairs and sofas sell from the shop floor or to customers who have registered an interest in what is about to be reupholstered.

This is a selection of recently completed projects which sold before we had a chance to list them on the website. (Click to enlarge)

Irish Renovation

Irish renovation

I bought this from an antique dealer (with Irish connections) in original but poor condition. A full strip down and rejuvenated in leather, the arms in particular are of a lovely design and really look smart with our hand-nailing and button work. With walnut legs and original brass/porcelain castors - this chair is looking very handsome in our shop window at the moment. Maybe not for long, though........£1395.

Gainsborough Silk Victorian Sofa

Gainsborough Silk Victorian Sofa

Beautiful mid-Victorian sofa with gentle curves and Rosewood legs with inset brass castors, and upholstered in a Gainsborough silk of the highest quality (see www.gainsborough.co.uk for more information on this excellent, specialist English company). £2100.

French Moustache Chair

French Moustache chair

A classic 1930's design from France with the De Gaulle 'tache shape to the back. Heavy and well sprung - this chair will need some breaking-in time before reaching it's best. Fully restored by LCB in our 'Burnt Orange' hand-dyed leather. £1350.

Chesterfield Chair

1930s chair

A nicely beaten up Chesterfield chair. Circa 40 years old and a sludgy green sort of a colour ! Not expensive at £795.

Oak Framed Wing Chair

A nice little oak-framed wing chair with original ceramic castors and a neat stuff-over seat. £1100.
